Peter Thomas is an Auckland-based orchestral conductor with a wealth of experience, having held positions as Conductor and Musical Director of the following groups:
University of Auckland Academy Orchestra 2005–2006
Auckland Wind Orchestra 1994–1999, 2003–2005
North Shore Youth Orchestra 1998–2001
Auckland Secondary School’s Orchestra 1993–1994
Epsom Symphonia 2002–
Epsom Chamber Orchestra 2006–
Auckland Symphony Orchestra 2008

He has also conducted the following groups in workshop, masterclass, concert or rehearsal: New Zealand Symphony Orchestra (masterclass with James Judd), Auckland Philharmonia & Ensemble Philharmonia, Auckland Youth Orchestra, University of Tasmania Wind Orchestra, Northern Sinfonia, West Michigan University Wind Orchestra.

This year Peter has guest conducted The Auckland Symphony Orchestra and next year will guest conduct St Matthew’s Chamber Orchestra.
